  1. Our message blasted the pavement with power-washed stencils.
  2. We plastered construction site walls with posters.
  3. The Handmobile was born.
  4. Our team hit the streets equipped with foam hands, encouraging young workers to pledge to work safely.
  5. Posters encouraged young workers to raise their hand before it was too late.
  6. Local design students created postcards inspired by real young-worker stories.
  7. The Raise Your Hand team was everywhere. From community events and festivals, to campuses like UBC, SFU, BCIT and UVic.
  8. The hand-covered bus reached out to young workers on their way to school and work.
  9. On-site graffiti demonstrations brought some of the young workers stories to life.
  10. Buskers roamed the busy streets and festivals singing the anthem in a variety of musical styles.
  11. A music video for the anthem was uploaded to YouTube.
  12. Young workers sang along to the anthem at events. Video mashups featuring the Karaoke contestants were posted to YouTube.
  13. Our team was at all the major universities and all the major festivals, including, Rock the Bells, Crankworx and Virgin Fest.
  14. Stylee tees and hats were given away as prizes at every event.
  15. The team van got a retro upgrade.
  16. Young workers could create their own custom buttons (at events or online) to show support for the movement.
  17. Over 10,000 custom buttons were created online and through interactions at events. Our facebook page grew to over 400 fans. facebook
  18. We invented the Rhythmixer for young workers to create their own unique mix of rhythms and rights.
  19. Our crew was at universities, festivals and high schools too. Visitors to our tent could make a live Rhythmix or raise their hand whack-a-mole style.
  20. Brand new T-shirts and hats were a hit. So were our beach balls.
  21. Athletes Jessica Vliegenthart and Josh Dueck shared their amazing stories as our new blogging duo.
  22. With Josh’s help, we broke the Guinness World Record for the most high fives in 24 hours.
